To keep a camp site like Buckmore Park going, we rely on a host of volunteers that we can call upon to help us keep it going.
There is a never ending list of jobs that need to be done all through the year. In the Autumn the leaves need to be cleared off of the camping sites, Trees need to be trimmed back where necessary to keep rides and tracks open. In the Spring everything needs to be checked to make sure that all is ready for the new camping season. All year round there are jobs such as Litter Picking, cutting back overgrown trees and undergrowth. Checking the wider site for trees that have been brought down by the wind, especially those that get caught up and are therefore very dangerous!
Toilets need to be clean and kept well stocked with materials, so they need checking after each camping weekend and replenished where necessary.
The Park's Management Team will also be identifying projects that they would like to undertake and wherever possible the Service Crews will be asked to assist with the work. there is already a long list of jobs that we would like to get done over the coming year (2014).
If you would like to join one of our Service Crew Teams then please do get in touch by emailing your details, along with any skills, in addition to your physical presence, that you think may be useful, please submit your details here
