July's work party brought with it some new challenges, we said good bye to a site landmark and we welcomed a new member to the team!
For the first work party for a long time we faced having to carry out the tasks needed to clean up the site while having a large number of campers using the site and taking part in some of our activities.
We had the beavers from 38th/40th join us and they spent an hour picking up litter and making the park look stunning again, following this they got to play with the pressure washer and started to prepare the toilet blocks for their new coat of paint. We had some scouts and explorers from the 12th who spent the morning burning some of the burnable rubbish that had been collected.
The Crew on site; Dave, Rob, Graham and Ian spent the day clearing the area by the old caravan. Graham assisted by Jade cooked lunch for everyone and following lunch the old caravan was towed off site where it will go to its new home with the 25th Medway who have a very special use planned for it.
We would like to welcome our newest member to the team, Tracy Whitely who joins us to help keep the public areas of the park clean and tidy, Welcome Tracy!
